The Free Catholic Church goes back to the 1700's when
bishops in Utrecht, Holland challenged the Roman
Catholic Church over the issue of Papal Infallibility.
The Free Catholic Church is a Catholic Church rich in the Catholic Tradition, but with some differences in the discipline of the Faith.
All the Sacraments performed in the Free Catholic
Church are performed by ordained clergy who are
validly ordained to minister such sacraments to
the people of God!
We believe in the same beliefs, and practice the
same essential worship, found in the mainstream
Catholic Churches that comes to us from the
Apostles. We can trace the roots of Our Faith to the time of the early church through the Apostolic Succession of laying on of hands by the Bishop signifying the passing on of Apostolic authority.
Before we encounter the Living Lord in
Word and Sacrament, we pause and call
to mind our weakness in responding
routinely to the power of God's great
Love. Let us accept the healing power
of our gracious God and proceed to
this work of grace with confidence
and anticipation of the Holy Spirit's
power to work great things in our
midst.
