Father Frank Fagan - Biography
Shortly after high school, I attended a Catholic college where I was introduced to a group of Benedictine Monks who's way of life impressed me. It was in 1978 that I entered a Benedictine Monastery called Saint Mark's Priory, South Union. In 1980 I took my first vows as a monk and during those years I was an elementary school teacher, Novice Master, and responsible for training new monks in the monastery. I had held many titles and ranks within the monastery. Due to family illness, I left the order to care for my aging parents.
In 1993 I discovered The Free Catholic Church, where I met two elderly priests who encouraged me toward priestly studies. In 1994 I received my minor orders towards the priesthood. Less than a year later in 1995 I became a deacon, then on February 10th, 1996 I was ordained a priest and shortly afterwards pastored my first church that was in Margate, FL. After two years at the Margate church, I founded a church in Fort Lauderdale and stayed at that mission for five years. I then began to help out at other churches in the area when the priests were away, filling in on the weekends at different churches, giving me a chance to meet different people. Besides my various priestly duties I have held various jobs in the transportation field and currently I am happy to say I have four years of training working for a small city, here in Broward County, as a Community Bus Operator. Some of the younger passengers who ride my bus call me the "Cool Bus Driver!"
